1Introduction

This SMS Privacy Notice ("Notice") is issued by Quest Venture Inc. ("Quest," "we," "us," or "our"), a corporation and the owner and operator of Quest Chat (also referred to as "Quest Messenger"), accessible at QuestMessenger.app. This Notice describes our practices regarding the collection, use, transmission, and protection of mobile telephone numbers and Short Message Service ("SMS") text messages in connection with account verification on the Quest Chat platform (the "Service").

This Notice is provided independently of, and in addition to, our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By enrolling in the Service and providing your mobile telephone number, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms set forth in this Notice.

2Express SMS Opt-In Consent

By signing up for Quest Chat and voluntarily providing your mobile telephone number during the registration process, you expressly consent and agree to receive SMS text messages from Quest Chat at the mobile telephone number you provide. Such messages are sent for the sole purpose of verifying your account through a One-Time-Passcode ("OTP").

Your consent to receive SMS text messages is specific to account verification communications and is granted separately and independently from your acceptance of any other agreement, including our Terms of Service or general Privacy Policy. You are not required to consent to receive SMS messages as a condition of purchasing any goods or services; however, such consent is necessary in order to complete account registration and to utilize the Service.

3Program Description

Quest sends transactional SMS messages for OTP verification exclusively to users who have registered on our platform and provided consent during signup. The Service does not transmit marketing, promotional, or advertising messages through the SMS channel. The SMS program operated by Quest consists of a single, narrowly tailored use case: the delivery of One-Time-Passcodes to authenticate account holders, confirm account ownership, and safeguard the integrity of the Service.

4Sample Message Content

Upon submitting a valid login or verification request, you will receive a single SMS text message substantially in the following form:

The numeric code referenced in the message is randomly generated, time-limited, and unique to each verification request. Quest will never ask you to disclose your OTP through any other channel, including email, telephone, or in-app message.

5Message Frequency

Message frequency varies and is determined solely by your own usage of the Service. You will receive an SMS message only when you initiate an action requiring verification, such as registering a new account, logging into the Service, or otherwise requesting a One-Time-Passcode. Quest does not send unsolicited SMS messages.

6Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Any charges for SMS messages are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider in accordance with the terms of your mobile service plan. Quest is not responsible for any such charges. Please contact your mobile carrier for information regarding applicable rates and fees.

7Privacy and Data Handling

Quest Venture Inc. is committed to the protection of your personal information. Accordingly:

The mobile telephone number you provide to Quest is collected and used solely and exclusively for the following purposes:

• To verify your identity as the legitimate account holder;
• To deliver One-Time-Passcodes required to authenticate access to the Service;
• To prevent the creation of fraudulent, automated, or bot-operated accounts on the platform; and
• To mitigate spam, abuse, and other unauthorized activity that may compromise the security or integrity of the Service and its users.

Quest may engage trusted third-party service providers (such as licensed telecommunications carriers and SMS delivery platforms, including Twilio, Inc.) strictly to facilitate the technical delivery of OTP messages on our behalf. Such providers are contractually prohibited from using your mobile telephone number for any purpose other than the delivery of the SMS messages described in this Notice.

8Opt-Out and Help Instructions

You may withdraw your consent to receive SMS messages from Quest Chat at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message you receive from us. Upon receipt of your opt-out request, Quest will cease sending SMS messages to the applicable mobile telephone number. Please note that withdrawing SMS consent may prevent you from accessing the Service, as OTP verification is a required component of account authentication.

9Supported Carriers and Disclaimer

Our SMS program is available through most major mobile carriers in the United States and Canada, including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Cricket Wireless, and Virgin Mobile. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Quest does not guarantee that messages will be delivered to all devices, networks, or geographic regions, and delivery may be affected by conditions beyond our control.

10Changes to This Notice

Quest reserves the right to modify, amend, or update this Notice at any time, in its sole discretion, to reflect changes in applicable law, our business practices, or the Service. Any such changes will become effective upon posting of the revised Notice at QuestMessenger.app, with an updated "Effective Date." Your continued use of the Service following any such modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Notice.
